How eResid uses strictly necessary storage and Google Analytics 4, how consent works on this site, and how visitors can refuse or withdraw optional analytics at any time.
1. What this policy covers
This page explains what cookies and similar browser storage technologies are used on the eResid website, what they do, how long they last, and how you can accept, refuse, or later withdraw optional analytics.

2. How consent works on this site
- Optional analytics are off by default.
- Google Analytics 4 is not loaded until you actively opt in.
- If you reject non-essential cookies, the site remains usable and only necessary preference storage is used once you make a choice.
- You can reopen settings at any time using the Cookie Settings control in the footer.
- If you later withdraw consent, the site disables analytics again and attempts to delete known Google Analytics cookies from your browser.
3. Storage used by eResid
Name: eresid_cookie_preferences
Type: first-party cookie and matching local-storage record
Purpose: stores whether you accepted or rejected optional analytics, plus
a timestamp and policy version
Duration: 6 months in the cookie layer unless you clear it sooner
Names typically used: _ga, _ga_<container-id>
Type: first-party analytics cookies set only after opt-in
Purpose: distinguish visitors and persist session state for audience
measurement
Typical duration: up to 2 years according to Google’s documentation
Cookie names and durations can change if Google updates its product behavior. This page should be updated if the live stack changes materially.
4. Analytics provider currently used
If you opt in, eResid loads Google Analytics 4 using measurement ID
G-TFY3Q42ZBW. In this setup:
- analytics remain blocked until consent is granted;
- ad-related consent signals remain denied;
- Google signals and ad-personalisation signals are disabled in the tag configuration;
- the site is using analytics for traffic and content measurement, not for personalised advertising.

5. What we do not currently use
- No advertising cookies are enabled in this implementation.
- No remarketing or personalised-ad consent is requested in this banner.
- No optional analytics or marketing storage should be set before opt-in.
6. How to change or withdraw consent
You can revisit your choice at any time by clicking Cookie Settings in the site footer. You can then keep only necessary storage or re-enable analytics.
You can also clear cookies in your browser directly. If you do that, the site may ask again for your preference on a later visit.
